"Not again." murmurs Genevieve Maduka as she bumps into a tall, good looking young man who was walking down the corridor of her lecture hall.
Right from her first year in the university, she has had a crush on him. Really, what girl wouldn't want to fall for the tall, dark and handsome Ebuka Okeke? He is every young girl's dream; he is just the perfect gentleman. He has white teeth that sparkles whenever he smiles and makes a girl weak in the knees. He is well structured and his carriage is just too admirable. Also his sense of style is just something else. He is what you can call Mr. Perfect.
As she regained her composure,she peeked up at him,looked away immediately and wobbled away to the amusement of Ebuka.She was embarassed so she quickly opened the door to the lecture room and almost ran in.
As usual,she made her way to the back of the class to sit at her usual spot.She brought out her textbook and started leafing through it while the rest of the class discussed in small groups.
Thirty minutes later,the lecturer taking the first course for the day walked in followed by Ebuka who had gone to remind him of the lecture as the class representative.The lectures for the day then proceeded.
As lectures ended for the day,a tired and hungry Genevieve made her way to the school's cafeteria for a late lunch.She had spent her whole day only in lecture rooms and the library and had not had any time to eat at all.She was only able to munch on a packet of biscuits she had managed to put in her bag in the morning to take to school.
As she walked,she accidentally bumped into an approaching figure."What's with the bumping into people today?"She thought to herself.She didn't have to look up or twice to know who it was.The shiny stylish high-heeled strapped sandals gave her away."Hey fatima,orobo;watch where you are going.When I tell you to slim down,you don't listen.That is how you go bumping into people because of how big you are.Please,lose weight and give the rest of us breathing space."It was Genevieve's worst nightmare and major headache in school;Cynthia Odinaka.
